SwishFilm ("we," "our," "the Platform") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information of all users, especially the minors who are depicted in content on this Platform. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. Information We Collect
a) Account Information
When you sign in, we receive the following from your identity provider (Google, Microsoft, or email):
- Name
- Email address
- Identity provider identifier
We do not collect or store passwords. Authentication is handled by Microsoft Entra External ID.
b) Content You Upload
- Video files and photos of basketball games
- Game metadata (date, opponent, score, location)
- Play tags, labels, and notes
c) Usage Information
- We may collect basic usage data such as pages accessed and features used for the purpose of improving the Platform.
- We do not use third-party analytics trackers, advertising cookies, or behavioral profiling.
2. How We Use Your Information

We do not:

- Use facial recognition technology on uploaded content
- Share content with anyone outside your authorized team
3. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
- SwishFilm is designed for use by youth sports teams and may contain content depicting minors.
- Users must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has created an account, we will promptly delete it.
- Parents and guardians may contact us to review, delete, or restrict the use of their child's information.
- Video and photos containing minors are only accessible to authorized team members and their approved guests.
4. Data Storage & Security
- All data is stored on Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure in the United States.
- Video and photo content is stored in Azure Blob Storage with access controlled by time-limited, signed URLs.
- Data in transit is encrypted via TLS/HTTPS.
- Access to content is restricted to authenticated users with valid team membership.
5. Data Sharing
We share your information only in these circumstances:
- With your team: Your name is visible to other members of your team.
- Service providers: Microsoft Azure (hosting and storage), Microsoft Entra ID (authentication). These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy commitments.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of users.
6. Data Retention
- Account information is retained as long as your account is active.
- Uploaded content is retained until deleted by the uploader or a team administrator.
- If your account is removed, your personal data will be deleted. Content you uploaded may be retained if other team members rely on it, but your name will be disassociated.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data held on the Platform
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your account and personal data
- Request removal of content depicting you or your minor child
- Withdraw consent and stop using the Platform at any time
To exercise any of these rights, contact your team administrator or the Platform operator.
8. Cookies & Local Storage
SwishFilm uses browser local storage and session storage to:
- Remember your authentication session
- Store your theme preference (dark/light mode)
- Store your language preference
We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party cookies.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
